The New Orleans law enforcement community is mourning the loss of Officer Sharon Williams, who served the city for 30 years.
NOPD officials said yesterday that Williams had passed away due to complications from the coronavirus.
Williams worked mostly out of the NOPD's Fifth District with mourners on social media also remembering her service in the First District.
Details of a memorial service were not immediately announced, citing the family's need for privacy at this time.
