The White House is calling for Louisiana to push back the reopening of indoor dining.

The recommendations outlined in state reports show federal officials are supporting strict rules to help the state control its recent surge in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations.

Despite following the Coronavirus Task Force Governor recommendations, Edwards is holding off on rolling back indoor dining to see if the state's mask mandate helps the situation.

Edwards is holding his latest COVID-19 press conference today at 4 p.m.
