Louisiana continued to see a drop in hospitalizations due to COVID-19 Thursday while the number of reported cases continued to climb.
The state Department of Health reported over 1,700 additional cases, bringing the total to 114,481 after the daily removal of newly discovered duplicates and out-of-state cases.
There were 20 fewer patients hospitalized with COVID-19, bringing that count down to 1,524. Also, the number of patients on ventilators fell 16 to 205.
The death count rose by 42 to 3,811.
