The family of Quinnyon Wimberly, who was killed in the collapse of the Hard Rock Hotel last October, are hopeful his body could be recovered by this Saturday.

The Wimberly family updated the progress of the removal yesterday following multiple delays due to weather and other issues.

Crews have been working for weeks to respectfully remove the remains of Wimberly and Jose Ponce Arreola, who both died when the hotel collapsed on October 12, 2019.

New Orleans Fire Chief Tim McConnell says one body is on the eleventh floor, and the other is located on the deck area.
