First LSU Football Player Opts Out Of 2020 Season Due To COVID-19

An LSU defensive lineman is sitting out the 2020 football season due to the coronavirus.

Sports Illustrated reported over the weekend that Neil Farrell will not play this upcoming football season due to health concerns with COVID-19.

According to sources, Farrell and his family were affected by the virus, which solidified his decision not to play.

The Alabama native is the first LSU player to sit out this season, but he says he plans to return to the team next season.
