The Louisiana Department of Health reported only 574 COVID-19 cases Monday while adding that lab reporting appeared to be "incomplete", possibly impacted case and test counts.
The department said technical staff were investigating.
The total number of cases in the state since the pandemic began stood at 131,961.
The count of patients hospitalized due to COVID-19 was 1,382 with 215 on ventilators.
The death toll from the coronavirus stood at 4,169.
