The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a double shooting in New Orleans East that left a man in the hospital and the big queen of the Spirit of Fi Yi Yi black-masking Indians dead.
Authorities say they responded to the 7300 block of Read Blvd. Tuesday to find 55-year-old Kim Boutte and an unknown male victim suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both were transported to a local hospital, where Boutte was pronounced dead. The man is listed in stable condition.
