Jefferson Parish officials and Carnival krewe members are starting to plan for Mardi Gras.
However, they are running into a lot of difficulties with health and safety protocol due to the coronavirus pandemic.
A tentative 2021 parade calendar includes 12 processions starting on January 1 and finishing with Truck convoys on Fat Tuesday, February 16.
Plans for the upcoming celebration are still up in the air, and the deadline to apply for a parade permit was extended by three weeks into late August.
