Southern University and Grambling State are announcing a new date for the 47th Annual Bayou Classic football game.
Officials at both schools confirmed yesterday the game will be played on April 17th, 2021, but have not yet decided on its location.
The two teams began playing each other in 1932, and in 1974 branded the series the Bayou Classic as a rivalry game held the final Saturday in November, usually at the Superdome in New Orleans.
The schools say they will announce the location for the game in the near future.
