Gov. John Bel Edwards announced that Louisiana will move into Phase 3 of reopening from the COVID-19 crisis on Friday.
Full details on what Phase 3 will entail will be revealed on Friday, though the Governor did tell reporters that a mask mandate will continue.
Edwards said the decision to move into Phase 3 was one of the hardest he's had to make, and that while Louisiana is still #1 in cases per capita, the data is "positive" and progress is being made.
