Louisiana's Presumed Recovered COVID-19 Count Over 145,000

The number of presumed recovered from COVID-19 in Louisiana stood at 145,570 as of September 14, state health officials announced Thursday.

The total number of coronavirus cases in Louisiana since the pandemic began was 159,304 in the latest update from the Louisiana Department of Health, which reported 500 additional cases and 17 additional deaths, bringing that count to 5,143.

Hospitalizations fell by 15 to 663 while the number of patients of ventilators was down one to 106.

LDH said the collection dates for most of the new cases were between September 10 and September 17, with 95% blamed on community spread.

"People aged 29 and under represent 33% of these cases. 23% are individuals between 18-29," the department tweeted.
