Officials in St. James, St. John, and St. Charles parishes say they are allowing bars to extend their serving hours under the state's new Phase Three guidelines.

The announcement came yesterday not long after Governor Edwards said that restaurants, bars, and casinos could begin serving alcohol until a new 11 p.m. curfew.

Bars that can open must still follow other strict measures in place, including limiting capacity to 25% up to 50 people, tables service only, socially distanced seating, and mask mandates when patrons are not at a table.
