Dixie Beer Asking For Public's Help In Rebranding Iconic Brewery

Dixie Beer in New Orleans is asking for input from the community as it rebrands its beer and centuries-old brewery operation.

The company confirmed yesterday that they were rebranding to embrace a more inclusive, culturally-aware, and socially conscious future.

Founded in 1907, Dixie Beer was brewed on Tulane Avenue until Hurricane Katrina forced it out of state and was then purchased by the Benson family who returned the brand to a new plant on Jourdan Road in 2019.

The brewery is now taking suggestions online and hopes to announce the new name during Mardi Gras next year.
