Parks and playgrounds around the city of New Orleans are open again under new COVID-19 guidelines.

New Orleans Medical Director Dr. Jennifer Avegno also said yesterday that high school and youth athletics would also be allowed to resume with new protocols aimed at combating the spread of the coronavirus.

Youth athletes, coaches, and staff will undergo testing and hygiene measures before taking the field.

Fans at indoor events will be limited to either 25% capacity or 100 people, and outdoor events will be capped at 25% or 250 people and high school bands will be allowed to enter, perform at halftime, and then leave without counting against a venue's spectators limits.
