The city of New Orleans is holding a drive-thru event this weekend for those who still need to register to vote in the upcoming election.
Officials announced yesterday that registrations would take place at Champion's Square from 9 a.m. to noon and will include a free mask giveaway.
The event is being coordinated by the Mayor's Office, New Orleans City Council, and multiple community groups to encourage people to register during the pandemic safely.
Residents who need to request an absentee ballot, fill out the census, or sign up to be a poll worker will be able to at the event.
