Officials in Jefferson Parish say they are allowing bars to extend their serving hours under the state's new Phase 3 guidelines.

The announcement came yesterday after Jefferson Parish met the threshold of two straight weeks with a COVID-19 positivity rate of 5% or lower.

Bars that can open must still follow other strict measures in place, including limiting capacity to 25% up to 50 people, table service only, socially distanced seating, and mask mandates when patrons are not at a table.

Outdoor service is also allowed, but no outdoor event can exceed 50 patrons in total.
