The Krewe of Oshun says they are canceling their Mardi Gras parade in 2021 because of concerns due to COVID-19.
In an announcement sent out yesterday, Oshun became the first Krewe to officially cancel its parade next year.
A krewe spokesperson said they want the parade to be a safe experience, which may not be possible in 2021.
Oshun said they fully expect to return to their usual route in 2022.
