The Louisiana Department of Health says there are 157,873 presumed recovered from COVID-19 in the state.
Wednesday's update put the running total of reported cases at 170,097 after 1,052 cases were added. 406 of the newly reported cases come from a backlog of cases collected before September 16.
Hospitalizations fell by 15 to 552 while the number of patients on ventilators increased by seven to 78.
The death roll rose by nine to 5,411.
