The New Orleans Saints are having discussions with Louisiana State University about playing games in Baton Rouge.
Talks began on Tuesday.
The Saints want to play in front of a partial crowd at the Superdome, but New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell is not allowing it due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge was filled to 25% capacity for last month's game against Mississippi State.
The NFL is supportive of the Saints' decision.
A total of 15 NFL teams have hosted at least some fans in their stadiums so far this season.
East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome says the city would welcome the Saints to Tiger Stadium with the same COVID-19 restrtictions that are in place for LSU games.
