The New Orleans Saints may play the remainder of their home games in Baton Rouge in order to allow fans.

New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell says she supports moving the games to LSU's Tiger Stadium since it is outdoors. "I think that could be a great place temporarily," she told reporters.

Cantrell's counterpart, East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome, said the Saints are welcome with the same COVID-19 restrictions in place as LSU games, which includes no tailgating and a cap on attendance.

Cantrell says she's not willing to allow fans back into the Superdome as the city of New Orleans has worked hard to bring down coronavirus numbers, and allowing 20,000 fans into the Dome would put that in jeopardy.

"In the United States of America, there is not an indoor stadium that is allowing fans in the stadium, for good reason," she added.

The city of New Orleans will enter Phase 3.2 of its COVID-19 reopening on Friday. Last month, Cantrell announced that the city would take a slower approach to moving fully into Phase 3 to better evaluate the impact of easing restrictions.
