The New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers are making a trade.
Multiple reports say the Saints are acquiring linebacker Kwon Alexander from the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for linebacker Kiko Alonso and a fifth-round draft pick.
Alexander has posted 28 tackles and one sack in five games this season for the Niners. He was in his second year in San Francisco after playing his first four seasons in Tampa.
Alonso has been out all season, but is close to returning after having ACL surgery in January. The 30-year-old has 533 career tackles over 86 career games.
