The state will have to wait a little longer before moving to the next phase of reopening.

On Thursday, Governor John Bel Edwards announced that he will extend Louisiana's Phase 3 rules for another four weeks.

During the press conference, Edwards said all current restrictions will remain in place until at least December 4.

Under Phase Three, bars can operate at a 25% capacity with no more than 50 people allowed inside served at tables only.

During Phase Three, mask mandates are in place, live music is not allowed indoors, and weddings, parties, and other gatherings are capped at 250 people.

The news doesn't come as a shock as Louisiana is not expected to move beyond Phase 3 until a vaccine is widely available.
