The Orleans Parish Criminal District Courthouse is closed temporarily after an employee tested positive for coronavirus.
Court officials didn't say where the employee was stationed but they did issue a warning to anyone who's visited the courthouse in recent days to get tested and self-quarantine.
Additionally, people awaiting trial on bail have been asked to contact their attorney and court section for new court dates.
Officials say the building will remain closed at least until November 23.
