Louisiana COVID-19 Cases Increase By Over 2,000 Over Two Days

After pausing reports for Veterans Day, the Louisiana Department of Health resumed updates for COVID-19 numbers Thursday.

LDH said there were 2,173 new cases to report from the last two days, bringing the running total since the pandemic began to 191,889.

Of those cases, 176,107 are presumed recovered from the coronavirus.

There were 34 additional deaths blamed on the coronavirus, bringing that total to 5,863.

Hospitalizations fell by eight to 676 while the number of those patients on ventilators fell seven to 59.
