Officials at Louisiana State University say they have hired an out-of-state law firm to look into school policies related to sexual assault.
LSU President Tom Galligan announced yesterday that Husch-Blackwell would lead an independent investigation of LSU's Title IX policies and procedures.
The move comes after an explosive report claiming the University repeatedly ignored or mishandled rape and sexual assault allegations made against male students.
The report also alleges that nine LSU football players have been referred to the police over the last four years but details on how the school handled the cases was kept secret.
