The Louisiana Department of Health reported 1,234 additional COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the running total since the pandemic began to 225,638 cases. That number is a combination of 214,237 confirmed and 11,401 probable cases.
LDH also updated the number of presumed recovered from the coronavirus to 192,488.
The death toll from COVID-19 rose by 27 to 6,350. Hospitalizations rose by 25 to 1,077 and the number of patients on ventilators increased by three to 116.
