The Louisiana Department of Health reported an additional 5,058 COVID-19 cases on Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the pandemic began to 230,602.
Of those cases, 218,796 are confirmed and 11,806 are considered probable coronavirus infections.

The death toll rose by 41 to 6,391.
The number of patients hospitalized fell three to 1,074 with 125 on ventilators, an increase of nine.
