The Louisiana Department of Health reported just 171 additional COVID-19 cases Monday, a far lower amount than in recent days.
LDH blamed the drop-off on the lack of testing over the Thanksgiving holiday. Of the newest cases, 110 are confirmed and 61 are probable.
Hospitalizations due to the coronavirus rose by 45 to 1,241 while the number of patients on ventilators was unchanged at 125.
The death toll rose by 13 to 6,420.
