The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting on Thursday night that claimed the life of two people and injured two others.
According to reports, deputies were dispatched to a call of shots fired around 5:30 p.m. at an apartment complex parking lot off Division Street.
Officials say neighborhood surveillance video shows a suspect walk out to a car at the apartments and begin firing at its passengers, with deputies later recovering a vehicle with bullet damage on Belvedere Street.
Four people were hit by gunfire, with one victim pronounced dead at the scene and a second passing away at the hospital.
