United Airlines says one of their flights bound for Los Angeles was forced to land in New Orleans yesterday because of a medical emergency.
According to reports, United Flight 591 had departed from Orlando to Los Angeles when a passenger suffered a medical issue and a mayday was declared.
The flight was then diverted to Louis Armstrong International Airport where it landed safely.
Officials say the passenger was transported to East Jefferson Hospital, and the remaining passengers were booked onto new flights.
