The Louisiana Department of Health reported an additional 2,617 COVID-19 cases Tuesday.
The death toll from the coronavirus increased by 50 to 6,895.
There are 1,597 patients hospitalized statewide from COVID-19, up 70 from Monday. Those on ventilators increased by five to 152.
The total number of reported coronavirus cases since the pandemic began stood at 272,276 with 217,930 presumed recovered.
