State health officials have released a list of randomly selected pharmacies across Louisiana that will offer the limited doses of Moderna's vaccine.
Gov. John Bel Edwards announced last week that 100 pharmacies would get the vaccine to distribute to ambulatory or outpatient healthcare workers and those over the age of 70.

Supplies will be very limited, and those wishing to get the vaccine must make an appointment ahead of time.
Edwards acknowledges that most people who want it will not get the vaccine this week, but more supplies are coming, and this rollout will be used to correct any initial mistakes in distribution.
The Louisiana Department of Health reported over 5,700 new cases of COVID-19 over the New Year's weekend.
