The Louisiana Department of Health reported an additional 4,526 COVID-19 cases Thursday, while hospitalizations increased by 40 to 2,033.
Of those patients, 219 are on ventilators, 12 more than Wednesday.
The death toll from COVID-19 grew by 47 to 7,728.
81,585 doses of coronavirus vaccine have been distributed so far in Louisiana. Of those, 7,068 have received their second dose and completed their vaccine series.
