The Louisiana Supreme Court is suspending jury trials in the state.
The court has issued a moratorium on jury trials until March 1 due to the surge of COVID-19 cases in Louisiana. Civil and criminal jury trials that started before the moratorium can continue to conclusion.
The Supreme Court is encouraging state courts to conduct proceedings remotely for the time being.
