State health officials say there were just over 500 new cases of COVID-19 found in Louisiana on Monday.
The latest coronavirus update showed 507 cases yesterday, which is almost 800 fewer cases than seen in the combined weekend numbers.
Doctors also reported another decrease in hospitalizations for a total of 849 people receiving medical care, with 137 using ventilators.
Another 33 deaths were reported to bring the state's overall death toll to more than 9,300 people since March.
