The New Orleans City Council is asking for an investigation into a series of rolling blackouts last week during an extreme cold snap.
At a meeting Tuesday, councilwoman Helena Moreno called for an immediate independent investigation into why 81 megawatts of power were shed when only 26 megawatts were requested from the organization that manages energy delivery for several states.
The blackouts affected over 26,000 customers in the region who lost power for almost two hours.
Entergy officials say they expect to have more answers to what happened in the next 30 days.
