The Louisiana Department of Health reported an additional 779 COVID-19 cases Friday, which brought the running total number of cases since the pandemic began to 427,689.
33 additional deaths blamed on the coronavirus brought the total to 9,561.
The number of hospitalizations fell by eight to 679 statewide, with 100 patients on ventilators, two fewer than Wednesday.
Over 2,000 providers statewide have administered 925,991 doses of the coronavirus vaccines as part of Phase 1B, Tier 1 of distribution, an increase of 68,028 from Monday.
State health officials added that 332,415 out of 593,576 vaccine series are now complete.
