The New Orleans Saints will play an extra game in 2021 after NFL owners approved a 17-game regular-season schedule.
This is the first time since 1978 the league has added games to its schedule.
Each extra NFL game will be an interconference matchup based on where teams finished the previous year, with the Saints facing the Tennessee Titans in Nashville.
There will now only be three preseason games, and the additional regular-season game means the Super Bowl will be pushed back a week to February 13.
