Gov. John Bel Edwards says Louisiana could be moving towards ending a statewide mask mandate.
During a press conference yesterday, Edwards said the decision to end the mandate would be dictated by updated health data expected next week.

State Health Official Dr. Joseph Kanter cautioned that some key indicators are heading in the wrong direction for ending mask mandates, with positivity up in eight out of nine health regions.
Edwards said his administration's Bring Back Louisiana vaccination campaign would kick-off this weekend in all nine health regions.
