Emergency Government Program Looks To Help Louisianans With Internet Bills

An emergency government program designed to keep people connected to the internet is accepting applications.

Local leaders say the program, part of the December COVID-19 relief package, allows those who qualify to receive $50 off their monthly internet bill.

You can check out the eligibility requirements at GetEmergencyBroadband.org.

Participating providers in Louisiana include AT&T, Cox, Eatel, T-Mobile and Verizon.

Residents can also call (833) 511-0311 for a mail-in application.
