Starting today, anyone who is fully vaccinated is no longer required to wear a mask inside Jefferson Parish government buildings.
Parish officials announced the new guidelines yesterday, just two days after Gov. John Bel Edwards lifted the statewide indoor mask mandate.
The only exceptions to the policy where masks are still required are educational facilities, public transit, correctional centers, and health care facilities regulated by the Louisiana Department of Health.
Private businesses also may require customers to wear masks.
