A new airline is taking flight at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.
Breeze Airways announced Friday it will begin non-stop service to 10 cities in July, starting with Charleston, South Carolina on July 8.
State officials say Breeze's arrival will 261 direct new direct jobs with an average salary of $65,000 plus benefits.
The airline will also make a capital investment of over $6 million to establish an operations base at the airport, with flight crews, maintenance staff and aircraft based in New Orleans.

Dolliole, Director of Aviation for the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. Flights will initially be on a fleet of Embraer jets and Breeze will operate out of Concourse A.

Flights are available to purchase on Breeze Airways' website or their app. Fares start at $39 one-way.
