Two LSP Officers Involved In Arrest Of Ronald Greene Likely To Be Fired

Sources say two Louisiana State Police Troopers involved in the arrest of Ronald Greene in 2019 are set to be fired.

Unofficial reports from state officials released yesterday said Troopers Kory York and Dakota DeMoss would be relieved of their duties following the release of footage from the arrest that contradicts LSP reports on how Greene died.

Greene, a 49-year-old Black man, died after a struggle with officers in May 2019, but his family was told he was killed in a car crash.

Greene's family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the LSP in federal court.
