New Orleans city officials are preparing to lift the 1 a.m. curfew on restaurants, bars, and music venues this holiday weekend.

On Wednesday, city leaders announced the curfew would end along with the six-foot spacing requirement for tables.

Patrons will also be allowed to stand at the bar again, and the ban on second-lines and parades is being removed.

The new rules go into effect at 6 a.m. on Friday.
