A former Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Detective is at rest after being buried with honors yesterday at Greenwood Cemetery.
Hundreds of people gathered to say goodbye to JPSO Detective Stephen Arnold, who died on May 23 from injuries he received in the line of duty.
Arnold was shot multiple times while serving a warrant in 2016 and had been under intensive medical care for the past five years.
The burial service featured bagpipes and a 21-gun salute, with officials adding that Arnold will be posthumously awarded the JPSO Medal of Honor.
