Less Restrictive Concealed Carry Law Heading For Debate At La. Capitol

Louisiana lawmakers are set to debate a new bill that would make it easier to carry a concealed weapon in the state.

Details of the bill released yesterday show it would remove fees and the mandatory nine hours of training need to obtain the concealed carry permit.

Dozens of law enforcement agencies have come out against the bill, saying it will lead to less responsible gun owners.

The bill faces a tough road because if it advances to the Governor's desk, he has said he would veto it.
