The state is rolling out incentives to encourage COVID-19 vaccinations.
Gov. John Bel Edwards announced on Thursday that there will be free entry into state parks and historical sites through July for anyone who has received a coronavirus shot.
Also, those with proof of vaccination can receive a free drink, alcoholic or non-alcoholic, at participating restaurants or bars in the "Shot for a Shot" campaign.
In a statement, Edwards said the initiative gives residents a reason to visit local restaurants and travel destinations that experienced hardships during the pandemic last year.
So far, nearly 32% of Louisiana residents have been vaccinated.
