The pandemic was costly for the majority of Americans and businesses and that includes colleges and universities.

The Shreveport Times says LSU sports programs, including football, lost $81 million in revenue last year.

The Southeastern Conference gave each member school $23 million to help offset the loss of revenue.

The university also suffered losses, with the main campus in Baton Rouge saddled with over $126 million in lost revenue.
