The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority is keeping its fare prices low for the rest of the year.
RTA officials announced that riders will only have to pay the base fare, no matter which route they are on or whether they transfer lines.
Additionally, the price of the monthly pass has dropped from $55 to $45. Officials say the new prices come after ridership dropped due to the pandemic.
The low prices will take effect on July 4 and will last until the end of the year.
