Former Louisiana Governor Edwin Edwards is in hospice care at his home in Gonzales.
Edwards' family confirmed he was undergoing hospice care after a trip to the hospital over the weekend. The 93-year-old said not to assume he is dying and instead is just receiving convenient care.
Edwards was elected governor of Louisiana three times from 1972 until 1980, again from 1984 until 1988, and finally from 1992 to 1996.
